At tip-off with the help wedge devices it is possible to be guided by the same instructions what are given for tip-off with a range finder as the pictures observed in wedge the device and in a range finder, are almost identical. At tip-off on a scale of distances it is necessary to refuse the big accuracy, being content with the approached definition of distance to photographed object. So business in necessity cases is to provide sharpness of the image of the main object of shooting, without caring of sharpness of the subjects located more close or further the main object. But in practice more often, except sharpness of the main object, it is necessary to provide sharpness back and the foregrounds, i.e. races put for and before the main object. At last, the object of shooting can have extent deep into (architecture, an interior of factory shops and etc.). There is a question, on what point of this object it is necessary to make tip-off to provide in a picture sharpness of all plans of object. At first sight can seem that tip-off on sharpness in such cases it is necessary to make on the average plan, it is equal отстоящий from forward and back borders of removed object, as well as many beginning fans, but such decision of a problem incorrectly arrive. The theoretical calculations confirmed with experience, show that depth of sharpness extends in both parties from the plan tip-off unequally: deep into, i.e. afar from the plan tip-off, it extends further, than in the opposite direction, i.e. in a direction to a photo to the device. Besides, depth of sharpness depends not only on distance to an aiming point, but also from focal length of an objective and, at last, from size of a relative aperture of an objective. With increase in distance from the camera to the plan tip-off depth of sharply represented space increases. So, at an objective with focal length 5 cm and a relative aperture 1:3,5 at tip-off on 2 m depth of sharply represented space will be equal only 30 see Under the same conditions and tip-off on 5 m this depth will increase to 2 m of 30 sm, and at tip-off on 10 m it will be equal 10. From here follows that it is possible to provide necessary depth of sharply represented space, increasing shooting distance, i.e. deleting the camera that further, than more spatial depth of photographed object.
